crime has gone up, the theft of cell phone account for half of all of the robberies in the city this year. ktvu's patty lee is in one san francisco neighborhood that has been hit especially hard. patty? >> folks in this neighborhood can't stop talking about an incident that involves the theft of an ipad yesterday. the suspects in that case have been arrested but we found out this may not be their first time. >> reporter: this warns students about a cell phone robbery yesterday afternoon. the description of the suspects similar to the men arrested yesterday for stealing an ipad. the description of the vehicles in both incidents are similar. a silver muraidies benz-- mercedes-benz. police would not discuss the specifics but according to the san francisco police department, there have been 200- 0374 robberies -- 2,374 robberies. 1,199 have involved cell phones. >> we realized this is reaching epidemic proportions. >> reporter: she was beaten up last month. her cell phone stolen. she was also targeted. incidents that took seconds but will stay with them forever. >> people are walkin

, 85 in napa. 91 for concord, 83 expected in fremont. 81 for mountain view. 70 degrees in the city for the afternoon. along the coastline, mid 60s in pacifica. these numbers will be notable warmer over yesterday. yesterday seemed to be a bit of a cool day. and for your weekend if you are headed to tahoe, 70s to near 80 degrees. we will have light winds and mostly sunny skies. temperatures will be on the warm side. giving you a look at what you can expect for today, mid to upper 60s in the forecast for the coastline. mid 90s for the warmer areas. notice how we begin to really heat it up sunday into monday. again, some of the hottest numbers we have seen since about mid june. on sunday, we do have a heat advisory, especially for those that are really sensitive to the heat, maybe the little ones, and our senior citizens. that to be aware of. it will hold on through monday. monday looks to be the hottest day, low 90s to low 100s in the forecast. on tuesday, just a very slight cool-down, but we do expect to warm back well above average. afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 90s, a

traffic also looks pretty good getting up to daily city. let's go to steve. >>> thank you. a happy friday. yesterday some areas north bay, east bay really warmed up. south bay, about as advertised. today looks like the system will prevent us from warming up. tomorrow we'll start the process all over again. 40s. napa, san rafael. livermore, low clouds. they did not have that yesterday. 51 in san francisco. oakland airport 52. there's trying to get a little sea breeze, but it continues to decrease here. although slightly stronger than yesterday. nothing crazy. that system, though, high pressure is coming behind that. it will start to nose in saturday and sunday and monday, definitely warm to hot. inland temps look like the system will come down today and start to turn around and head warmer on saturday and definitely warm to hot inland on sunday and monday. now, the coast, looks like there will be an on shore breeze, but they will warm up. the fog should burn off sooner. it doesn't look like it will scour down. cool for some, warm for others. fog for many. reduced visibility, hazy sunshine.

and when you get sea breeze gusting up to 30 miles per hour, you will go 33 and the city did hit 34 and that was a very challenging forecast. we will go 79 today and san jose is 89 to 76 today. it will be a good 15 to 20- degree drop. reason being, it was shallow, solid fog bank, it is making a big push inland. 57 to 60 degrees and that's coast and bay. west turbo charge, that is what we look for and it was flat, nothing. we picked up the system with high pressure way up here and that is going to stay here probably all over us and too much fog and it will bring temperatures down. it is cooler even out of those 100s a couple of 80s, 76 walnut creek, low 80s brentwood, livermore 71 degrees. 76 san jose, 76 los gatos, 50s 60s and 70s coast and bay, we'll see the fog get chewed up and it looks like partly cool conditions. >>> dna tests have come in on a gruesome discovery on the peninsular and how it may help the discovery of a missing man. >>> first a 13-year-old was beaten unconscious while others watched, the reason why his family said the school district is to blame. >>> we will tel
